How much Iodine is in each capsule?

We do in fact have 600mcg in each of our Kelp Capsules. BUT, here is some very helpful info: Capsules and kelp in general is absorbed at MOST 40%. Usually around 30%. If you absorb on the high side of 40% you are getting 240 mcg of Iodine. Usually no one will get that high of absorption in capsules.

The other thing is: The MINIMUM daily serving of Iodine is 150mcg. Thats the minimum. I think most people take much more than that on the high side. Luckily for us, our bodies have evolved to be highly adaptable and tolerant of variation in our diet. Seaweeds are not pharmaceutical chemicals where we have to be exact - they are foods and food supplements.
We know that the absolute minimum amount of iodine that our bodies need to function is 150 mcg a day (250 mcg during pregnancy).

But having a bit more isn’t such a bad thing usually. I would recommend starting with 1 capsule, and getting around 180mcg (30%) of Iodine a day, as it doesn’t FULLY absorb with capsules.
